Eyes - the wonder they are..

The eyes are said to be the window to the soul.. That is to say that a person's eyes reflect all that is within.. It amazes me how physiological and psychological factors are interconnected. The eyes are one splendid example of this interconnection. Whether seeing your loved ones after a real long time or just some random memory; a small emotional trigger is enough to open the flood gates of the eyes. It seems as if some never ending stream runs behind those small pair of eyes, its source being unknown.
Physiologically, the tears are meant to remove anything trapped in the eyes, so that the eyes remain clean and you have an effective vision. Similarly, when you shed tears, the trapped up emotions are released so that you become calm and clean from within and can now look forward to life with a better prospective.
Sometimes the eyes of two people do all the talking. These silent conversations may be for a fraction of second or for long hours, but the messages are straight and no word play is needed.
Diverse range of adjectives are used to describe the eyes - serene, talkative, bloodshot, blank, brooding, sleepy and many more. Its interesting to note that most of these words have got nothing to do with the physical aspects of the eye rather they convey the mental aspect of the person.
The eyes convey so much. They speak volumes. They give a good insight of a person. To get a sneak peak of someone's mind, all you need is keen observation and a pair of watchful eyes. ;)

See you soon

Since childhood we meet all sorts of people, and slowly we start to search around for those people with whom we get along well.. This search has no fixed parameters or protocol. A chance interaction or chain of events leads you to finding them. Its like birds of feather flock together. Some common thread  which connects everyone. The mind is a strange thing.. It just needs an excuse to bond with another individual. Even a seemingly trivial similarity or interest of 2 people may lay the foundation of a rock solid relationship.
Its true that strong relationships stand the test of time. But other things matter equally. The kind of bond you share with others, the memories u share together, the inspiration you draw from people; all these things have a lasting impact on your life. Life is all about changes. Some people stay back, some move on.  People may leave, but they are always there with you in your minds. Not the length of time we spend together but the fact that we had an awesome time is what matters at the end of the day.
What I believe is.. Life is too long to say goodbye.. So just say see you soon.. :)

Writing: What it means to me..

"The pen is mightier than the sword" .  I have not tried the might of a sword but I surely know the might of a pen. Being an introvert, my encounter with the pen was secretive. Neither anyone knew about it nor I kept those writings. Those writings were nothing but some petty stuff going on in my mind, but the after effect of them was something which can only be felt and not defined in words. That was when I realised my need and love of writing. Whether a vulnerable mindset or some stupid incident, just kept writing about it till my mind would get vacant and calm. Just pour down your secrets in the ears of the paper and you are free, ready to take on the world with renewed strength. Writing instills a sense of faith and confidence in me. The pen gives me the feeling of liberty and strength..  It liberates from mental burden and renews a person to take a fresh look at things. Its strange that such a small thing as a pen has such large capabilities. May be that is why it is said to be mightier than the sword...
